Wheel of Knowledge Published by Wheel Limited
Who we are
Wheel Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the mobile game Wheel of Knowledge (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have. By using the App you agree to the practices described here.
Wheel Limited is a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 17163116). Registered office: 26 Cowper Road, Slough, SL2 1TQ, United Kingdom.
Who this policy applies to
The App is intended only for users aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to create an account, play, start a trial, or subscribe. If we learn that we have collected information from a person under 18, we will delete it.
Information we collect
Account information. You sign in using Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In. We receive a unique account identifier and, depending on your choices and the provider, your email address and display name. We do not receive or store your Apple or Google password.
Age confirmation. To enforce our 18+ policy, we record that you have confirmed you are 18 or over. Where your device or platform provides an age signal, we use it at sign-in; we do not store the underlying platform age data long-term.
Gameplay information. We process information needed to run the game, such as your in-game progress, scores, matches played, and game events. The game is server-authoritative, so this information is processed on our servers to keep play fair.
Subscription and entitlement information. Subscriptions and any free trial are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not receive or store your full card or payment details. We receive confirmation of your subscription or trial status from the relevant store so we can unlock access.
Technical information. We may collect limited technical data such as device type, operating system version, app version, language/region, crash reports, and basic diagnostic logs to keep the App secure and working.
How we use your information
We use your information to:
- comply with our legal obligations.
- create and manage your account and authenticate you;
- enforce our 18+ age requirement;
- run matches, track progress, and operate game features;
- manage your free trial and subscription access;
- keep the service secure, prevent abuse and cheating, and diagnose and fix problems;
- comply with our legal obligations.
Legal bases and how we process your information
UK and EU users. Where the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of a contract (to provide the App and your subscription); legitimate interests (to keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and improve reliability); consent (where required, for example certain notifications); and legal obligation (where the law requires us to process or retain data).
United States users. We process your information to provide and secure the App as described in this policy. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. Depending on your state of residence, you may have specific privacy rights, which are described in Section 8A below.
Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:
- Apple and Google, who process sign-in and handle subscription billing and age signals on their platforms;
- service providers who host our servers and provide infrastructure, analytics, or crash reporting on our behalf, under contract and only as needed to run the App;
- authorities or third parties where we are legally required to do so, or to protect our rights, users, or the security of the service.
International transfers
We are based in the United Kingdom. Where information is transferred outside the UK or your region, we take steps to ensure it is protected by appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the App. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal information, except where we are required to keep certain records to meet legal, tax, security, or fraud-prevention obligations.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You can delete your account and associated data from within the App. To exercise any other right, contact us using the details below. You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office, ico.org.uk).
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your data and limit access to it.
Children
The App is strictly for adults aged 18 and over. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the App. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
