Wheel of Knowledge
The competitive multiplayer trivia board game.
Spin across six worlds of knowledge — VIRAL, BYTE, COIN, CASEFILE, PULSE and TASTE — and outplay your rivals with Steal, Wager, Duel and Wild Card moves on a living hexagonal board.
Call and meet
Call and Meet in the lobby!
Ring a friend from your table. Open a lobby, tap CALL on an empty seat and type their email — their phone rings like a real call, wherever they are, and one tap seats them next to you. Choose VIDEO CALL and you see each other in the lobby before the game starts: two friends, two countries, one table.
Open a lobby.
Host a game; every empty seat shows CALL.
Ring them.
Tap it, type their email, choose CALL or VIDEO CALL. Their phone rings like a real call — even with the app closed or in the background. They only need the app installed and signed in on that phone.
They're in.
One tap on the ring and they are seated beside you — talk, or see each other, then start the game.
The game
What it is
Wheel of Knowledge is a real-time, server-authoritative trivia board game from Wheel Limited, a UK company. Two to six players share one board over the internet; every roll, every move and every answer is judged by the game server, so what you see is what the game saw. Players answer multiple-choice questions across six themed domains, move around a 73-space wheel, collect the six domain wedges, and compete head-to-head through the board's special spaces and moves. Built for iOS and Android.
The board
The six domains
Each domain has six subdomains and its own headquarters space on the wheel; win a domain's question at its HQ to claim its wedge.
The turn
How a turn goes
Roll.
The wheel lights the spaces you can reach; pick a direction and a space.
Answer.
A question from the space's domain, in one of three difficulty tiers, on a timer. Answer right to keep moving and earn tokens; answer wrong and the turn passes.
Watch the others race.
While the active player thinks, every other player sees the same question — the first spectator to answer correctly wins the spectator race and its bonus.
Land on the specials.
STEAL a rival's tokens, WAGER your own on the next answer, DUEL one opponent head-to-head, or draw a WILD CARD and choose the domain yourself.
The win
Winning the game
Each domain has a headquarters space — its HQ — at the end of its spoke, and the six HQs are where wedges are won. Land on one and answer its HQ question to claim that domain's wedge. A wedge is your ownership of that HQ, and several players can own the same domain's wedge at once, so a rival's claim never takes yours away.
Own all six wedges, land on the hub in the centre, and answer the win question: that is the game. The bar is the same at every table, from two players to six.
A wedge is held, not banked. Land on your own HQ again and answer right to keep it fresh — and, if you choose, to set a trap on it: the next rival who lands there must beat your trap question before the HQ question, and if they beat both, your wedge is stripped from you. Answer wrong on your own HQ and it costs you: the trap if you set one, the wedge if you did not. A wedge left unvisited for twenty of your turns decays, and after any HQ landing that space is locked to you for five turns, so the wheel keeps turning. Some solo challenges start with system traps already armed on chosen HQs — the board bites from the first roll.
Every right answer also pays tokens: 2 for the easiest questions, up to 10 for the hardest, 15 for a domain-mastery question. Tokens are what the special spaces play for.
The ring
The special spaces
Four kinds of space sit on the outer ring, and one law rules all of them: you can only win what you could have lost. Every stake is capped by the smallest purse at the table for that move.
STEAL
Pick a rival — openly, everyone sees who — and answer the question. Right, and their tokens move to you; wrong, and yours move to them. The stake is the question's reward, capped by both purses: a player with six tokens raiding one with three moves three, either way.
WAGER
Stake your own tokens against the bank on your next answer. Right, and the bank pays you the stake; wrong, and the stake is gone. The stake is the question's reward, capped by what you hold — a three-token player on a hard question wins or loses three.
DUEL
Pick a rival and face the same question at the same moment; the first correct answer takes the stake from the other. Duels are capped at ten tokens, never more than either purse, and are played only between people — never against the game.
WILD CARD
You choose the domain and the difficulty, and the reward is yours to win: answer right and the tokens are minted for you; answer wrong and nothing is lost — only the chance.
Why it is different
Features
Ring a friend by email from an empty seat; their phone rings like a real call (they need the app installed and signed in), one tap seats them, and a video call lets you see each other before the game starts — private by construction.
Host a game, share the code, start when the table is full; a friend who drops can rejoin the same match from where they left it, and the game carries on when someone leaves.
7,200 hand-written questions across 36 subdomains and three difficulty tiers, sealed by hash so every player is asked the same question the server holds.
English is the source; the glass translates questions, answers and the game's own words on your device, in your choice of 59 languages — offline, after a one-time download, with no text leaving your phone.
A short hint or verdict beside each question — the game's own voice, never the answer.
The server rolls, times, judges and scores; the app only shows. No client can cheat the clock or the dice.
Solo challenges on the same board and the same questions when nobody is around.
Lose the connection and the server keeps your seat; come back and pick up your game.
